Top 3 Reasons to Buy the New Nvidia GTX 1080

Posted by on Jun 20, 2016 in Computer Hardware |

The hotly and highly anticipated New Nvidia GTX 1080 has finally arrived. Gaming has been perfected. Some of the major leaps made on the newest kid on the block are improved efficiency and performance, all thanks to the newly introduced Pascal architecture. Multi-monitor gaming and virtual reality have been greatly improved.

The GTX 1080 is the latest production of Nvidia to hit the market. The company has spent a great deal of time and money to develop and improve features in this new device. One thing you can be sure is that the GTX 1080 is way better compared to previous models.

Are you still wondering why you should own the New Nvidia GTX 1080? Then have no more worries as here are a few reasons which will definitely make it a better option for you to choose it:

Specs and technology

Nvidia GTX 180 is powerful. It has a new technique in its architecture known as Pascal. Pascal boosts efficiency and performance of the hardware. Pascal is an improvement of the previous designs.

With Pascal, a smaller manufacturing process of 16 nanometers versus 28nm is used. It means a greater number of transistors in any given piece of silicon.

The memory has improved too. It uses a GDDR5X which is similar to the RAM in your PC or laptop. However, in this case, it is faster and expensive. The previous models used GDDR5.

It has an 8 GB memory space, a memory clock of 10,000 MHZ and 43 percent more bandwidth memory (compared to the previous models). It automatically translates to a greater capacity that can hold high graphical data and data can move at a higher speed. These are some of the aspects that make gaming interesting.

There is a lot to be said about the physical hardware too. The angular design and the sharp metal edges make it appear attractive. It has a single fan that makes it quiet.

It has several ports. There is a major DVI port. It also has an HDMI port and three display port connectors. How cool is that! The HDMI connector is version 2.0.This feature enables it to produce content in 4K at 60Hz.

It supports video playback and HDR gaming, thanks to the HEVC decode video ability.

Performance and benchmarks

Nvidia GTX 1080 has the following aspects:

Corsair H60 liquid cooler

Intel corei5-66000K process

Asus Z170-Deluxe motherboard

Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit

PSU: Corsair CX750M

The graphics card is second to none. The factors mentioned above make gaming an exciting experience. Hanging and slow loading have become a thing of the past.

Key features and pros

New Pascal architecture

8B GDDR5X memory

2560 CUDA cores

1607 MHz base clock speed

320 GB/s memory bandwidth

Manufacturer: Nvidia

It is future proof

It has an excellent design

It has a greater and improved performance

Despite all the great praises heaped on this device, it has its downside. However, that should not stop one from making the purchase.

It is a bit costly compared to the older models

It does not hit 60fps in most 4K GAMES

3 Most Important Computer LanguagesĀ

What Is A Computer Language?

A computer language, or more precisely a programming language, is the formal constructed language designed to communicate instructions to a machine, or more precisely the computer which then uses these instructions to create programs which control the behavior of a machine or expresses algorithms. So far, thousands of computer languages have been created, and many more are being created every year. The programming languages are usually split into two components: syntax and semantics, or form and the meaning respectively. Some languages are defined by a specification document whereas other have dominant implementation which is treated as a reference.

Even though there are numerous computer languages, the following three are essential in the programming world, therefore, they are definitely worth mentioning in this introductory article about computer languages.

1.Java Programming Language

java-logo-orange-boxJava is a programing language that is object oriented and it has been specifically designed to have few implementation dependencies. The developers of this computer language intended for it to be used everywhere. This means that Java can be run on all platforms that support Java without the need for recompilation. Also, Java applications can be run on any Java virtual machine (JVM) regardless of computer architecture. Since 2015, Java has been noted as one of the most popular programming languages in use, and has been reported to have 9 million developers. Originally, Java was developed by James Gosling at Sun Microsystems and released in 1995 as a core component of the Sun Microsystems.

2.C++ Programming Language

c2The C++ programming language is a general-purpose programming language that has imperative, object-oriented and generic programming features. Furthermore, C++ also provides facilities for low-level memory manipulation. This programming language has been designed with a bias toward system programing and has been found useful in many contexts including desktop applications, servers, but also entertainment software. C++ is a complied language that has implementations that make it available on many platforms provided by various organizations, such as: FSF, LLVM, Microsoft, Intel and IBM. C++ has also influenced many other computer languages including the newer versions of C, C#, and Java.

3.C Programming Language

The design of C programming language allows the constructs to map efficiently the machine instructions and because of this property C has been used in many applications, but also some operating systems and application software. C was originally developed by Dennis Ritchie, around the year 1970, but since it has been one of the most widely used programming language of all times.

This article is meant to give you a general introduction into programming languages, but of course you must be aware that computer languages are constantly changing, evolving, developing and new ones are being created. Therefore, computer programming requires constant learning. Hopefully, this introduction will inspire you to learn and read more about computer languages.
